He answered all my questions with care and patience and that gave me a lot of faith in Restoration 1. Also, the estimate was completely itemized so I understood completely what the charges were for. This put me at ease with the price. Michael and Hector performed the labor efficiently and did a good job. Lead tech Hector inspected the work when Michael and Hector were finished and he addressed what he thought might be some future problems. I spoke to Kelly and relayed all the pertinent information (specifically I have a c-section scheduled for next Friday as well as our family of 4). Kelly worked to get Hector out promptly to inspect and determine the scope of the work. After asbestos testing Hector along with Eddie and Jakob have been out all day taking care of the damage and making it so we still have access to laundry and our shower. Kelly and team also have made it so we can focus on the rebuild following the baby’s arrival. We moved into a new (to us) house and within a few weeks of moving in, our painters discovered mold that showed up on the baseboards in the basement while they were painting. It turns out we had a huge mold issue. We had Element Building Science come out and inspect and do air quality samples and found out we had 3 types of mold and horrible, unsafe air quality. R1 came out very quickly, sealed off the basement so we could safely live in the home, and followed a very detailed protocol to mitigate all of the mold, decontaminate and move out every item in the basement (and we had a LOT!), flood cut walls, tear out the flooring, run scrubbers and cleaned every square inch of the basement. We had the mold inspectors back out to retest and it was perfect… no mold left! They noted what a great job R1 had done.They were responsive, kind, easy to work with, and made a very painful experience as seamless as they could. Hector, Logan, Derek and the team were professional, offered advice to keep from having this happen again (like painting some floors to seal them after mold was remediated, adding alarms for the water heater and under sinks to notify for leaks, having the mold inspectors come back out to certify the mold was properly mitigated so we have proof it was done right whenever we sell this house, etc)Overall I highly recommend R1 if you have any mold mitigation or water problems. Thanks R1 for all of your help and for doing this so quickly for us! read less

Dave Green came out and assessed the problem, worked up a plan and quote, and gave me photos and drawings of how he was going to remediate the problem. We really liked Dave and felt comfortable with him in our home. I accepted the quote and made sure Dave would be the one coming to our home. The job required the removal of all the carpeting and other garbage, moving furniture, removal of baseboards, and then cleaning and sealing the floors, as well as the stairs to the basement. Dave and his men were pleasant, worked hard, always sent me a text when they were on their way, and finished in a couple of days. Josh from High 5 Plumbing came out and fixed it quickly and recommended Restoration 1 to me. I told him to go ahead and connect us. Restoration 1 called me immediately about the water damage from the leak, and had all the relevant details. It was convenient to have such an integrated experience, and I trusted that both companies understood what they needed to do.Today I had High 5 come out and remove our water heater so Restoration 1 could remediate the water damage. Dave and Robin showed up and got to work quickly. I had some questions and they gave me thorough, understandable answers. They were very courteous throughout the day and worked very quickly. Since they completed the job so fast, we didn’t have to lose our hot water for more than eight hours, which I really appreciate.I took a look at the work they did and it’s extremely comprehensive. Shawn and Robin came to my house after a plumbing mishap to see if there was water damage underneath. When cutting into the drywall, I grazed the hot water line. I quickly noticed the mistake and turned the water off at the main (under two minutes). When the plumber came over to fix (solder) the pinhole in the hot water line, he advised I have the wall checked for moisture. I kind of laughed it off. How much damage could a pinhole leak cause? After thinking about it, I decided to follow the plumbers advice. I did some research and called a couple restoration service companies. The first couple companies I called had employees that were rude, unprofessional or didn’t answer the phone. When I called Restoration 1, I talked to Kevin, who was professional, understanding and offered to have someone come out the same day. When the guy from Restoration 1 arrived, he used a moisture meter on the wall to confirm the wall was soaked. He opened up the wall a little, set up some industrial type fans to dry the wall and then picked up the equipment a couple days later. If I ever need a restoration company again, Restoration 1 is the only company I will call. read less

I’ve had prior slab leaks and I’ve worked with other companies and realize that this company is definitely at the top of the food chain in terms of professionalism. They tented up my kitchen to protect my family and pets from the heat, debris and chemicals used to mitigate the damage. They were always on time and courteously called 30 minutes prior to arriving.
